Love Stories – a short film produced in collaboration with lingerie and swimsuit photographer James Lightbown for Lingerie Buyer.

While shooting the Love Stories editorial for the Autumn/Winter 2012 (AW12) edition of Lingerie Buyer we took the opportunity to shoot each set-up once James and the client were happy they had their shots.

As a result we had limited time to shoot each set-up, it was after all a stills shoot. To get as much usable footage as possible, we needed to keep the rig simple and lightweight. This was achieved this by shooting with the Sony FS100 with a select few prime lenses, a Glidetrack slider and a tripod. Some shots were handheld with a simple shoulder rig.

The location, Lordship Park in North London, has really beautiful natural light so this helped keep our set-ups simple. Each set-up was being planned while James was shooting the stills. The process had it’s limitations in that we often had no time to review the takes – so had to just trust that we’d captured what we needed.

All footage was captured on the ATOMOS Ninja and shot using the Frank Glencairn’s G-LOG v1.0 colour profile. The film was then edited in Final Cut Pro and  graded in Apple’s Color.
